Daily Routine  

Mondays - Fridays

06:20            Rising Bell            All students to be out of bed by 06:30

06:40            Out of showers bell   

06:49            Warning bell            All students to get to their beds

06:50            Inspection bell        Students are to stand at the foot of their beds
and wait to be inspected by the Prefect and Duty Master.

07:00    Breakfast bell    Students are to make directly to the Dining Hall and to wait quietly for the Duty Master to say grace. Only then may students sit down and begin eating.

07:15     End of Breakfast    When the Senior Housemaster signals the end of breakfast the students are to finish eating and to move upstairs to finish ablutions and collect any clothes required for the morning session.

07:40    Leave Boarding House Bell    All students are to have left for school or are to be outside in the Covered Way when this bell rings.

10:15    Break Bell    Students return to the Boarding House for tea and to collect books for (Monday to Friday) the next school session. 

10:30    Leave Hostel Bell        All students to be out of the Boarding House when the bell rings.

13:40    Lunch     All students are to move directly to the Dining Hall for lunch after the 7th period. (13:40) This will be 13:35 on a Wednesday.

14:00    End of Lunch    After lunch. students may go upstairs to get changed for  and to collect any items for the afternoon extramural session.
14:30        All dormitories will be locked at this time.

14:20    End of School.    No students are allowed upstairs except for prefects.

16:30    Dormitories open    Students may go upstairs and prepare for the evening  session.

17:30        Shower Bell            Everyone may shower in the allocated blocks.

17:50    End Shower Bell    Everyone still in showers to finish and to return to the dormitories.  Students are not to linger in the showers.

18:00    Dinner Bell    Everyone is to move to the Dining Hall and line up for Dinner. Students are not to linger in the building but are to move directly to the hall.

18:39            Warning Bell            Warning bell for the start of prep.

18:40            Prep Bell            First prep starts.

19:45            Prep Bell (Break)        First prep ends.

19:54            Warning Bell (end of Break)   

19:55            Prep Bell        Second prep starts

20:50            Prep Bell        Second prep ends
                            Tea for whole Boarding House

21:20            Junior silence bell        Grade 8’s & 9’s to be in bed
                            No talking or getting out of bed

21:30            Lights out bell (Juniors)    All Grade 8’s & 9’s in bed

21:50            Senior silence bell        Grade 10,’s, 11’s and 12’s in bed
                            No talking or getting out of bed

22:00            Lights out bell (All seniors in bed and silence.)


No talking or whispering at all and no student out of bed for 45 minutes from silence bell.
