Overview

The main aim of the subject at this level is communication. The language is taught within a specific context, enabling the pupils to communicate with confidence. Specific topics are covered in each grade and the pupils are given all the necessary vocabulary, examples of dialogues as well as useful phrases that can be used. Formal grammar is kept to the bare minimum.

Regular vocabulary tests are written and after having covered all the necessary groundwork, the pupils present an oral on the topic. This can be done in pairs or in larger groups, depending on the topic.
